Looks like a good way to build resilience within the housing market. Main question is where and how the government would acquire the land?

Eminent domain would be unpopular and mired in court battles. Buying the land in a competitive market would become extremely expensive in the areas that are most impacted. Is there enough (re)developable urban government land given that we aren't Singapore? Genuinely don't know the data.
