Agree, on the politics but shouldn’t it be a lot easier to get priority bus lanes on the interstate because it’s ran by the feds.

How so? It was my understanding that the Feds provide the money to states to build highways, but exercise very little discretion in how that money is spent. See: DOTs regularly expanding highways instead of maintenance

Unless you mean in the sense that the Feds could pass stricter regulation on the design of highways.
