I use Census data from 1940 to 2020 and historical research to tell the history of Black people in Berkeley, California and the origins of zoning, housing and displacement in the city.
This was amazing. Learned so much about Berkeley having a larger Black population than I would have ever thought. Hopefully upzoning can be implemented again to keep & bring back the community that has, so far in this part, been hurt by redlining. :/
